"This book is filled with proven principles that work! Bill has made great parenting practices simple to understand so that you can put them to use immediately to begin giving your children what they need most... love, limits, & lessons!"

"I have found this book to be incredibly helpful in parenting. My husband and I have been using the techniques in the book on our 4-year old. She has become very adept at telling us what is bothering her and what caused poor behavior. She is able to express what happened to cause her to become upset, e.g., lack of sleep, hunger, disappointment. When she identifies that something has made her upset, she often goes into her calming spot to take deep breaths and calm herself. After using Bill's techniques for the past couple of years, we are all able to step back and realize why a behavior is occurring and what we can do to deal with it and minimize tantrums. We started having family meetings to elicit our daughter's ideas. After a recent meeting, she went to school the next day and told her teachers that she had just had a family meeting the night before to try to come up with house rules. We still deal with tantrums, but they are becoming less frequent. We now have the tools we need to identify why a tantrum occurred and what we can do in the future to stop them altogether. We also have a 1-year old and have been talking to our older daughter about using the ideas to help the baby as she gets older and she is excited to help her to use the techniques. I would definitely recommend this book to all parents."
